6 Digbeth Restaurants To Enjoy

Whether you’re planning a relaxing lunch after a busy morning shopping in the city centre or you’re getting together with friends on a Friday night, Birmingham’s coolest quarter, Digbeth, is serving some real food delights these days.

We’ve put together our round up of the best restaurants in Digbeth in 2025 to put on your radar.

Cafe Lovelife Mediterranean Food in Digbeth

1. Café Lovelife

You didn’t think we wouldn’t put ourselves top of the list did you?

We’re tucked inside the creative hub of the Custard Factory, and are extremely proud to be recognised as one of the best restaurants in Digbeth and Birmingham.

A thoughtfully designed spot with a warm, boho-chic vibe to show off on Instagram, and that’s before we even mention the food!

Here at Lovelife, we focus on a nutritiously delicious Mediterranean menu full of globally inspired small plates. From charred harissa cauliflower to lamb koftas with pomegranate and tahini, every dish is made for sharing and bursting with flavour.

Pair your meal with a handcrafted cocktail and soak in the relaxed, stylish atmosphere.

670 Grams Tasting Menu Restaurant

2. 670 Grams

Named after the weight of the owner’s premature daughter at birth, 670 Grams is a sure-favourite.

The industrial-chic venue is owned by Kray Treadwell, a finalist on Great British Menu and a rising star in the UK food scene. At 670 Grams he brings his fearless creativity to every plate, crafting dishes that are as thought-provoking as they are flavourful.

Each course on the ever-evolving tasting menu is designed to surprise and delight, blending fine-dining precision with street food influences and global inspiration.

One night you might be served “chips and curry sauce” reimagined with luxurious ingredients and refined techniques; the next, a dessert that’s as much a piece of art as it is a sweet finale.

The plating is meticulous and modern, with pops of colour and texture that beg to be photographed (before being devoured). If you’re after a memorable dining experience in Digbeth, this place absolutely delivers!

3. HANBAO

If you're craving big flavour and bold vibes, then HANBAO in Digbeth is the place to be. This achingly cool burger bar, originally from Worcester, has brought its signature energy to Digbeth.

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by neon lights, hip-hop beats, and a playful, edgy interior that screams good times.

Thankfully, it’s not just the aesthetic that’s on point, the burgers are nothing short of legendary.

Their signature Mac Daddy, piled high with crispy onions, American cheese, and HANBAO’s secret sauce, is a mouthwatering monster that’ll ruin all other burgers for you.

Vegetarians and vegans are catered too as well, with equally indulgent plant-based options.

Sides are just as show-stopping, think kimchi-loaded fries, garlic parmesan tots, and juicy chicken wings drenched in sticky, spicy sauces. Top it all off with one of their decadent milkshakes or a cheeky cocktail from the bar.

Rico Libre decor in Digbeth

4. Rico Libre

A true local favourite, Rico Libre is a hidden gem that’s well worth seeking out.

Tucked away within Kanteen, a cafe by day, this cosy, unpretentious tapas restaurant delivers all the charm and heart of a family-run Spanish bodega, right in the middle of Digbeth.

The menu is packed with flavour-packed small plates that transport you straight to the sun-drenched streets of Barcelona or Seville. From sizzling gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns) and crispy calamari to juicy chorizo in red wine and rich meatballs, every dish feels lovingly prepared and full of soul.

The ambience is intimate and warm perfect for those cozy nights spent with friends chatting over a bottle of wine or two. Pair your meal with your favourite bottle of Rioja and settle in for a leisurely, delicious meal.

Baked In Brick - Best Pizza In Digbeth

5. Baked In Brick

Born out of a backyard experiment in a converted Mini Cooper (complete with its own pizza oven), Baked In Brick has grown into one of Birmingham’s most celebrated street food success stories.

Their permanent spot in the Custard Factory Courtyard is just as creative where they’ve blended rustic charm with urban cool.

If you love wood-fired oven pizza, then this place does not disappoint.

Think thin, blistered crusts loaded with inventive toppings like truffle mushrooms, slow-cooked beef shin, or spicy nduja and honey.

But don’t overlook the rest of the lineup. Their garlic flatbreads, smoky BBQ wings, and house-made dips take things to the next level, and the rotating specials mean there’s always something new to try.

The atmosphere is relaxed, with communal tables, string lights, and an open-air vibe that makes it ideal for sunny afternoons or laid-back evenings.

6. MyLahore

A Northwest is a British-Asian institution, MyLahore is vibrant, welcoming, and full of flavour.

Part restaurant, part celebration, this beloved chain brings together the best of Indian, Pakistani, and Western cuisines under one lively roof.

The menu is vast, but we love the sizzling mixed grill platters, loaded with spiced lamb chops, tender chicken tikka, and seekh kebabs, as well as creamy karahis, comforting biryanis, and indulgent butter chicken. OK, we’ll stop!

Inside, the decor is bold and playful, with bright murals, booth seating, and an upbeat energy that makes it great for families, groups, or anyone who just wants to eat well and have a good time.

The Takeaway

As you can see, Digbeth is more than just an industrial neighbourhood turned hip nightclub zone. From fine-dining tasting menus and Spanish tapas to burger joints, street food, and global fusion. Unpretentious, experimental, and always full of flavour.
